Toby Whittaker takes on the 100 Push-ups A Day Challenge for November for Cancer Research

07 Nov 2023 –– Company News

Cancer research is vital for our continued well-being, and 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime.*

Thanks to fundraising support through this challenge, the charity Cancer Research can continue to develop new life-saving treatments that will protect future generations. In the last 120 years, Cancer Research UK has revolutionised what we know about cancer and achieved significant progress for people affected by it.

Their latest challenge for 2023 is 100 Push-ups A Day, and our Managing Director Toby Whittaker has taken up the challenge to raise vital funds. The fundraising site is full of helpful information about how to correctly complete a push-up, to stay safe and avoid an injury! Not only will it keep Toby fit, but push-ups can also aid in strengthening between the shoulder blades, a strength which is essential for good posture. Exercise programs that include push-ups have also been found to stimulate and improve bone density, so there are lots of benefits to the challenge.

Toby has set up a JustGiving page to collect donations, which received over £2000 before the challenge even started. You can contribute here: https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/tobys-giving-page-186

Toby said, “Cancer is such an awful disease and affects so many people. I wanted to take on a challenge that would directly benefit those affected and help prevent it for future generations. One hundred push-ups a day is no mean feat, it should be tough but doable, and I’m looking forward to it!”
