One of the newest members of the Store First team, Anthony Quinn is our Manchester storage centre manager. We decided to get to know him a little better by asking some all-important questions. Read on to find out how he answered them!

What’s your full name and job title?

Anthony Quinn, Manchester Store First manager.

Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve had?

I worked as a night manager for Tesco. Wow – I saw some sights!?!

What three words do you think best describe Store First?

Simple, honest and enjoyable.

What three words do you think best describe you?

Funny, honest and single.

What’s the weirdest/most challenging thing you’ve ever had to do here?

Probably getting the store delinquent/pending disposal accounts up to date.

What’s your favourite film/film quote?

Don’t have a favourite film, too hard to choose. fave quote though would have to be from Gladiator – “My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next”.

What’s your proudest moment at Store First?

Absolutely smashing the Quarter 4 target so far.

What is an interesting, random fact about yourself?

Rick Astley is my second cousin.

Do you have a work nickname? What is it?

It’s not very original, I just get called Quinn.

What’s your most embarrassing moment at work?

Luckily, nothing embarrassing has happened yet.

What’s your favourite place to travel to?

New York, been twice and would happily live there.

How do you define success?

Happiness and a good life for my daughter.

If a film was made of your life, who would you want to play you and why?

George Clooney because just like him, I only get better with age.

If you could be any person in history for a day, who would it be and why?

Neil Armstrong, so I could say I have been into space.

If you could interview any person in history, who would it be and why?

Leonard Da Vinci. Such an interesting character that lived in a very interesting period in history.

If you could only drink one drink for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Pepsi Max cherry, it is easily the best drink. Without contest!

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Pizza, no reason needed.

If you could be an animal for a day, what animal would you be and why?

A great white shark, I would love to explore the ocean.

If you were stuck on an island and could only take three things with you, what would they be and why?

A machete for self-defence and cutting things, a net that could double as a hammock and a fishing net, and a compass for getting around.

Tell us something about yourself that people would be surprised to know.

Probably the Rick Astley thing.

Tell us a little about you and your family.

My family, my world is my little girl Scarlett, she is nearly six going on 16. I live in Leigh, I have a brother who is 30 and then twin half brother and sister who are 8.

Who is your idol and why?

My idol is probably Sir Alex Ferguson. That man has never even met me but has brought me so much joy in life!

What is your guilty pleasure?

Pretty much anything they would play in Popworld on a night out.

What’s your favourite TV show?

Could not name one, there are too many.

What’s the oldest thing in your fridge?

Probably a bottle of Magnum tonic wine that my old manager bought.

Do you play any instruments or have any talents or hobbies?

I have a really crap party trick that I can move my eyebrows like the kids in that old advert.

Do you have any weird phobias?

No weird ones, just the standard ones that everyone is afraid of.

If you could choose only one superpower, what superpower would you choose?

Being able to fly at superspeed like Superman. I could see the world on a daily basis.
