Leeann's been the Manager of Store First in Mansfield for over 6 years. She’s joined by Assistant Manager Jess Upton who joined the company 2 years ago. Together they make a great team and the evidence is a long list of happy customers.
The day to day work of a Storefirst manager
Leeann and Jess take a hands-on approach to running the store and that means everyone gets stuck in. Their daily tasks range from organising the staff at the beginning of the day, dealing with customer enquiries, paperwork, and keeping the store sparkling clean.
“Everyone does a bit of everything” says Leeann, “that’s the way we work best because we can all help each other out.”
Why people come to us
Store First in Mansfield has 539 individual storage units ranging from locker size up to 275 sq ft.
“People come to us for all sorts of reasons” Leeann explains. “We’re close to the motorway, so that makes it easy for our customers to come and go, and customers can access their units 24/7. That makes us unique in the area.”
“We get all sorts of people and businesses using our facilities” says Jess “a lot of people use it for moving house and decluttering. If people are having photos taken of the house, they often like to put things into storage because it helps to get those personal items out of the images.”
“We also get a lot of people putting their fishing gear into storage. I think they’re hiding it from the missus” she adds with a laugh.
Great customer service
Store First Mansfield is one of the smaller locations, but that also helps make them one of the friendliest. The top duo and their team are well known for the excellent level of customer service they provide.
Leeann explains why:
“We’ve got really good facilities here for our customers. There’s the boardroom which is great for meetings, it’s got a big TV where people can connect up their laptops for video conferencing, and we’ve got the kitchenette too.”
“With the kitchenette, some people use it for their lunch, we often get our regulars coming and having a cup of tea with us. It’s a really versatile space, people even use it for taking product photos if they’re selling something online.”
Leeann and Jess do a brilliant job running Store First Mansfield. They’ve built up a reputation for going the extra mile to deliver the sort of customer service that brings in the customers and keeps them coming back for years.
