Charity raffle winner scoops locker full of prizes

28 Aug 2019 –– Charity

A lucky winner has scooped a locker full of prizes in a charity raffle.

Organised by Store First Blackburn, the raffle invited people to guess the number of a mystery locker by donating £2 per guess online or in-store.

The mystery locker was full of prizes donated by Store First, as well as kind donations by Store First business storage customers Vox Gente, Estrella Damm, House of Roses and Monster Energy.

All donations to the raffle were given to Pendleside Hospice, as part of Store First's ongoing fundraising efforts towards the charity's annual Corporate Challenge.

Store First Blackburn customer Amjad Ali correctly guessed the winning locker number, bagging himself the locker full of prizes.

Prizes included a chocolate basket, beer, lava lamp, energy drinks, toiletries, sweet hamper and a gin making kit.

So far, Store First has raised £725.50 for Pendleside Hospice through a series of fundraising efforts.

Blackburn Store First centre manager Michael Webster said: "We want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our loyal and generous customers, who not only donated prizes, but also purchased tickets to enter this raffle to help us in our fundraising efforts.

"The support we have received from our customers has been incredible and we cannot thank them enough."

Last week, Store First dropped off 210 bags of unwanted clothing donated by customers at the Pendleside Hospice furniture depot, to be sorted and sold at its 10 charity shops across Burnley and Pendle, raising further funds for the charity.
