Children in Blackburn and Darwen are set to receive a little festive magic thanks to a Secret Santa!
Secret Santa Ltd is a not-for-profit company which collects money and gifts all year round, to donate to children in need. Hundreds of presents are given to under-privileged children across Blackburn and Darwen, with every child receiving their own sack of presents to open on Christmas Day.
How is Store First getting involved?
This year, our Blackburn self-storage centre is lending a hand to this fantastic appeal!
Not only have we donated a storage unit for organisers to store items in the lead-up to the big day, but we are also acting as a drop-off location for people to donate new, unwrapped gifts.
About Secret Santa Ltd
Secret Santa’s goal for Christmas 2017 is to give 200 Blackburn and Darwen children a sack of goodies to open on Christmas morning.
Organiser Phil Boulding says:
“Any assistance YOU may be able to offer either in providing us with money or gifts (must be brand new and not wrapped please) would be truly wonderful. And you would be directly responsible for brightening a child’s face on Christmas morning. Some of these kids would otherwise get nothing, or be suffering through the loss or absence of a parent. Together, we can give a child a Christmas.”
He added: “Michael Webster, manager from Store First donated us a storage location for Secret Santa to use on the run-up to Christmas. I was really expecting a “no, sorry” as these guys get asked regularly for donations. Michael and Store First, thank you so much from the people and children of Blackburn and Darwen. You REALLY are helping your community. Support them back guys if you ever need somewhere to store your stuff in a really secure, clean, bright, fresh environment – I know the prices are very reasonable.”
