What’s your full name and job title?

Michael John Crossley, Store Manager at Leeds Store First.

Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve had?

I worked in the insurance industry evaluating written off vehicles assessing the damage and values.

What 3 words do you think best describe Store First?

Value, quality, honest.

What 3 words do you think best describe you?

Friendly, approachable, adaptable.

What’s the weirdest/most challenging thing you’ve ever had to do here?

Having to help a customer load a giant 3D sippy cup display into a unit!

What’s your favourite film and film quote?

My favourite film is Pulp Fiction and my favourite quote from it is “If my answers frighten you, then you should cease asking scary questions.”

What’s your proudest moment at Store First?

Being promoted to manager and having hard work been noticed.

What is an interesting, random fact about yourself?

I have cut more than 2 limbs off and had them reattached in the last 10 years.

Do you have a work nickname? What is it?

Mike.

What’s your most embarrassing moment at work?

Walking in on a customer on the toilet to pass them toilet roll.

What’s your favourite place to travel to?

My mind.

How do you define success?

Success is not having to describe what's been accomplished, others do it for you.

If a film was made of your life, who would you want to play you and why?

Mr Bean - we have similar ears.

If you could be any person in history for a day, who would it be and why?

A family member to see what life was like in a different era.

If you could interview any person in history, who would it be and why?

Any customer that has not stored to ask why they went and paid more for less services.

If you could only drink one drink for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Water so I can continue to live.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Steak and chips - because, why not?

If you could be an animal for a day, what animal would you be and why?

An egg - don’t have to do a single thing and born with a hard shell.

If you were stuck on an island and could only take 3 things with you, what would they be and why?

Me, myself and I, because if you can’t count on yourself what can you count on?

Tell us something about yourself that people would be surprised to know.

I have completed my bronze to gold Duke of Edinburgh award and have trekked around the Chinese desert.

It’s just me and my cat.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Fixing my car myself.

What’s your favourite TV show?

GAME OF THRONES!

What’s the oldest thing in your fridge?

Inside of the fridge door, same age as the fridge itself.

Do you play any instruments or have any talents or hobbies?

I can’t play an instrument but I am a qualified level 2 mechanic and I have a full bike licence.

Do you have any weird phobias?

Smell of sick - has to be avoided like the plague

If you could choose only one superpower, what superpower would you choose?

Invincibility.
