Bridefayre.com is one of Derby Store First’s business customers. Owner Merv Sheldon and his team organise bridal fayres across the East Midlands.
When they decided to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning at our Derby centre, located opposite Pride Park, we were excited to show our support. After all, we love a good charity event. And who doesn’t love a good piece of cake?
In fact, we organised for a selfie photobooth at the event, to inject even more fun into the day!
Merv Sheldon, from Bridefayre.com, took time out to send us a letter thanking us for our support for his coffee morning event. He said: “I really wanted to thank you and your team for your help – your customers and in particular one of your staff were most generous and supportive, we sent off just over £178 to the charity.
“I am really impressed with the camaraderie and friendship among the people in your offices and this surely reflects on Scott as a store manager. Everyone was lovely to us. We loved the photobooth you arranged for us and the access you gave us for the entire weekend.”
Going the extra mile
Last month, Bridefayre.com ran a bridalwear sale at our Derby centre, after their planned venue fell through at the last minute. We were only too happy to help our and in fact, the event turned out to be a huge success!
Owner Merv said: “We were also stuck without a venue for our bridalwear sale. Scott and team came along to the rescue. The end result was five sales on the day at full retail and the rest of the stock sold as a job lost to a bridalwear company. This would not have happened without your help.”
He added: “Store First has been as asset to my business for the last 3 years or so and the support I get is always very good indeed. However, we all felt you went above and beyond for these events. On behalf of myself, Macmillan Cancer Support and my bridalwear colleagues, thank you!”
We were happy to support a loyal customer and all of our centre teams love to go the extra mile. What’s more, it’s fantastic to see that using our Derby self-storage centre as a business base is working well for Merv and his business.
